Talking.. It is a good thing!
I guess most people in my life could not tell you much about me. Not my favorite color or what makes me who I am. I have heard people ask others about me and they say the general " Oh she is cool" or even the occasional " Oh her? She is a bit of a weirdo" It amazes me how little every one knows about each other. There is too much going on in life any more that we do not take the time to really know people. Just take a look at the way we great each other.
Person 1.( Mike) " Hey"
Person 2. ( Sue) " Sup"
Mike. " Not Much, you?"
Sue. " Same"
Mike. " Cool"
That is a sure way to cut off a conversation! I mean I even get wrapped in it with people I want to know!!! I will make a point to walk up to them and say hello and then even ask them how things have been or perhaps what they have been doing lately and its always those stupid one word answers like " Good" " Fine" "Nothing" "Work" and so on. Has the Human race lost their vocabulary!? I will linger near those I wish to actually talk to not feel like I am texting them! We are like Robots!!! Your phone is starting to talk to you more than those you see every day. " Please say a command, Did you say...?" Goodness me!! I would love to get that many words out of some one. Not those words ( for that would mean we had really turned into robots) but that many.
Mike: Hi Sue.
Sue: Hey mike how have you been?
Mike: Oh I have been good I am going to school up north just back down for the weekend
Sue: That is nice. I went to school up north for a while it was cold during the winter, Do you like it up there?
Mike: I like the cold and I have met some really neat people. What are you doing now Sue?
Sue: I am taking some online classes and looking for work.
Mike:.........
Hey look you see that!? Its called making conversation yes it might die out after a while but it can also lead to getting to know that person! In fact my imaginary Mike and Sue ( I don't have Imaginary friends I promise lol)
just learned more about each other than in their first encounter. Is there danger in that? There must be because that small exchange barely seems to happen any more. Well it might but I must not see it much!!
Girls see that guy over there you really want to know? Standing there staring at him is not going to get to know him. Ya you may learn his eye color but other than that? ( yes this is some thing I need to work on.)
Guys! See that cute girl? Stop looking at her from the corner of your eye and go up to her and say hi and don't let her get away with one word phases! Keep trying to get her pulled into a conversation! Cant think of any thing to say? Use that thing from " She's the man" Ask her if she likes cheese. Haha odd yes... but Odd can also capture her attention, it can make her stop and try to figure out what on earth you just asked her, and once she answers keep going! Ask some thing else! Or even be brave and tell her you would like to get to know her. I cant speak for all girls but I know that if a guy was to be persistent and not let me get away with one word phases, or flat out tell me he wanted to get to know me I would be flattered and even probably very interested in getting to know the guy as well.
Well I guess that is what I have to say. So next time I talk to you on the street or in the store and I ask you some thing and you give me a one word answer do not be too shocked if I just randomly start talking about cheese.

Tomorrow is my dear Cousin, Celeste's Birthday I know that she some times reads my Blogs and I Helped her make her own, But I would like to Give a shout out for her!! She is 16! I can not believe she is so grown up!
"Happy Birthday Sweetie! I love you so much, You have grown to be such a beautiful young woman! It is so hard to believe you are so grown up. I am so ever proud of you! You have worked very hard to learn Japanese. You are a talented dancer. Design beautiful Dresses, and write some pretty good Poetry! I love your hugs they instantly make me smile. You are very sweet and kind and I know that your heavenly father loves you very much. I know that life can be hard. Believe me I was 16 once. Kids in high school can be mean and some times it seems like they don't even notice you. Well Guess what? You are not invisible. Its okay if you are not like the rest of them in fact that is why you are not invisible. They see you making the right choices being who you are and they look up to you. They are just too cowardly to let it show. Just wait when High school is over and you will see how many people know who you are when you thought no one knew you. Tons. I had guys that I had crushed on when I was your age that I thought did not even know i existed, and I found out that they new who I was and just figured they never had a chance with me. Tidbit of a poem
Cloud upon the highest point,
what is it that you see?
Head top, rooftop, Mountain or sea?
Journey with out an end.
No time to out spend.

Change
A Time for change.
There comes a time when the earth stops spinning
It is the time when nothing seems to me going forward
And there is no way to move back.
Your feet are firmly planted in one spot.
Some times life just seems to come to an abrupt stop.
Not for me.
It is like opening your eyes and seeing you have not gone a step.
All your time dreaming you dream of the future.
While awake your feet are nailed to the floor.
And then is the time you know it is a time for change.
Change found me, with tears and open arms.
They hugged me and saw in me what i did not.
Change swept me off my feet and sent me tumbling.
Into a mist unknown to my eyes.
Fear, fear of change, a trait of humanity kicked in.
And I found my self staring the lion in the eyes.
To go into a land unknown and give my trust to those unknown,
an eye opening jump into the well.
Who should be on the bottom to embrace my fall?
What new things will become?
And if I return at all who will I be?
What will others think?
Will I even care what it is that they do think?
For that is a mind set of the old me.
To go head first into a change so large it can change me.
Oh the thrill, the chance, the mystery!
So off I go with little to place on the table before me,
Yet a life time of baggage to let free.
And if next week I am not me, pray that me the better you will see.

Will not go hungry at impact !!!
No-Bake Peanut Butter Energy Bars
1 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup honey
3 cups quick (instant) oatmeal
Combine the peanut butter and honey in a medium saucepan and warm over low heat. Stir constantly until mixed thoroughly. Remove from heat and add in the oatmeal and any optional items. Press into a 9×9 inch ungreased pan and let cool. Cut into bars and store in plastic baggies. No need to refrigerate.
Makes 16 (2×2 inch) bars
My Lil mix to this was a dash of each
Ground Ginger
Ground cloves
Ground nutmeg
and a teaspoon of Cinnamon

A Happy Birthday Shout out!
Tomorrow is my best friends birthday! She is now 23. Mom Baked a cake for her today and I gave her her gift yesterday. She will be heading to see some family tomorrow so today is the day for all her birthday stuff today for us! So to honor my dear friends birthday I have gathered up some old pics I have taken over the years!
